3G RF Consultant - Dubai
1x 3G RF Optimization engineer (multivendor experience is fine)
Job description:
· The engineer must have minimum of 3 years UMTS RF experience
· Skillful in operating GSM/UMTS drive test and analysis tools
· Experience with TEMS and Actis is a most.
· The engineer need to know how to generate 3G reports from data been input by DT engineer. He will then analyze these data, and based on the outcome, he will give his report ( current status on the network etc..) and recommendation.
· Recommendations in how to improve performance on bad cells etc..
· He or she doesn't need to have deep knowledge with KPI.
· It doesn't matter which vendor experience they have
· its office based mainly
Location: Dubai
Availability: ASAP (7- 14 days)
Start date : ASAP
Duration: 6 month (could be extended)
Client to provide: office tools, business travel within UAE
Candidate provide: own flights, accommodation, Sim card, mobile handset, medical insurance cover ,laptop and local transportation
FPG provide: work permit and logistic advise

Job Description
The Network Design Engineer/Specialist is accountable for the timely development and delivery of complex engineering design and support deliveries, focusing mainly on the delivery of the customer GSM core networks (packet core & circuit switched), This includes the development of network architecture and configuration (Data fills), Capacity planning, network interface analysis and design, and engineering support. It also involved network performance assessment and audits and Performance enhancements.
Business Unit description
Network Planning and Optimisation (NPO) Line of Business (LOB) is under Managed Services. NPO is building a remote services delivery center in Noida, National Capital Region (NCR). The objective of this position is to provide planning and optimization services remotely for global customers.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical network planning and optimization support to assist customers in network rollout/modernization. Prepares/compiles NSN product information/configuration source data.
- To proactively help Local NPO and Project teams identify and collect required inputs for network planning and optimization tasks
- Provides project engagement support within a remote delivery framework and ensures that all deliveries strictly adhere to negotiated deadlines.
- Familiar and up-to-date with latest guidelines, engineering rules on how to dimension and plan various network elements (MSS, MGW, HLR, CDS, SGSN, LIG, Flexi-ISN e.t.c). Must be familiar on NSN (Ex-Nokia) Release 4, DX 200, IP-2800 Platform.
- Applies Global best practices work instructions/processes/tools ensuring high quality and timely deliveries.
- Applies knowledge and skills to analyze and resolve complex network problems
- SDC Representation in customer/project interface and acts like a Single Point of Contact for all technical/project related matters.
- Supports the Engineering Manager with general and team management issues
- Manages technical accountabilities of a small team of technical experts
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong telecom fundamentals
- Solid understanding of Mobile Core and IP networks
- Solid Network planning and Design exposure - Good understanding of operator business drivers and technologies in the Core network area
- Very good understanding of 3GPP specifications relevant to CS/PS Domain.
- Good Knowledge of protocols like SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, GSM Protocols – MAP/ISUP/, TCP/IP e.t.c
- Good knowledge of Network Dimensioning and Performance Measurement tools
- Experience in NSN (including ex-Nokia/ex-Siemens products) 2G/3G MSS, MGW, SGSN, GGSN systems design, planning and/or optimization preferred
- Ability to design an optimized network with all components based on traffice/customer defined assumptions
- Must be familiar on NSN (Ex-Nokia) Release 4, DX 200, IP-2800 Platform.
- Worked on OSS/ Performance management tools to do network assessment and optimization tasks. Hands-on with performance reporting tools (like traffic) is an added advantage.
- Ability to define Optimised system parameters to tune the network and traffic requirements.
- Ability to commission/integrate NSN 2G/3G network elements and troubleshooting etc. is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of excel based (VBA) Macros, Scripts (Perl, SQL e.t.c) preferred
- Multi-Vendor skills are an added advantage
- Cross technology skills (CDMA, LTE, WiMax e.t.c) are an added advantage.
Soft Skills Required:
- Possess effective communication & good presentation skills. Ability to clearly articulate technical and project requirements both verbally and through formal written correspondence.
- Ability to work independently with self motivation under minimal supervision still providing quality results
- Good team player and can do attitude with proven track record.
- Fast learner with a Systematic and Organized work Approach.
- Ability to produce Professional design documentation
Education/Work Experience:
· Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Telecommunication / Electronics or Equivalent with 2 to 8 years of experience
Experience Level: 3 -8 yrs
Assignment type: Contract ( on payroll of NetworkersMSB)
RATE: Monthly Gross Amounts
Start Date: with in 15 days
Client: Nokia (Noida)
Duration: 6 month to 1 year contract
